About Dorthe Døjbak Håkonsson
Dorthe Døjbak Håkonsson is Associate Professor of Organization and Management at the Aarhus School of Business, University of Aarhus, Denmark. She has published several national and international papers and academic book chapters. Dorthe is the co-editor of a series of books on Organizational Design within Springer’s series on Information and Organization Design. She is a member of the EIASM’s (European Institute of Advanced Studies of Management) Program Development Group.

Research Area
Dorthe Døjbak Håkonsson’s main research areas are strategic leadership and organization design. Departing from an organization design and information processing view, she has focused on the development and study of leadership styles and processes, and investigated the implications of matching various leadership styles with different strategies, climates, and environments. Further, she has investigated the impact of virtuality for coordinating across different organizational design structures. Methodologically, most of her studies have been either quantitative or based on simulation techniques. Special areas of interest are:
